Roles & Responsibilities

– Lead and manage the entire Purchase & Procurement function

– Develop and implement purchase strategies for gold, diamonds, gemstones, and related materials

– Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with domestic and international vendors

– Ensure timely procurement while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and compliance

– Manage price negotiations, contracts, and long-term supplier relationships

– Monitor bullion rates, market trends, and pricing risks

– Coordinate with production, design, finance, and stores for material planning

– Ensure proper inventory control, stock movement, and reconciliation

– Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory norms, and industry regulations

– Implement SOPs, internal controls, and risk mitigation measures in procurement

– Lead and mentor the purchase team to ensure high performance

Desired Profile of the Candidate

– Graduate with 15-20 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement

– Strong knowledge of sourcing gold, diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery components

– Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost-control skills

– Sound understanding of bullion markets, price fluctuations, and procurement risks

– Experience handling imports/exports and coordination with customs (preferred)

– Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder-management abilities

– High integrity, accountability, and decision-making capability
