Job Description
Vice President Operations
Description:Â The Vice President – Operations will be responsible for leading, optimizing, and scaling end-to-end operational functions across the organization. This role drives operational excellence, efficiency, cost optimization, and execution rigor while ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives. The position plays a critical role in enabling sustainable growth through process maturity, systems enhancement, and people leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership:
Define and execute operations strategy aligned with organizational growth plans
Partner with senior leadership to translate strategic priorities into executable operational plans
Drive scalability, productivity, and operational resilience across business functions
Operational Excellence:
Oversee end-to-end operations including supply chain, production/service delivery, logistics, quality, and facilities (as applicable)
Establish and track KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to ensure operational effectiveness
Implement and enforce standardized operating procedures and best practices
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Six Sigma, automation, and digitization
Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities without compromising quality or service levels
Drive process re-engineering and technology adoption to improve speed, accuracy, and reliability
Financial & Budget Management:
Own operational budgets, forecasting, and cost control mechanisms
Analyze financial and operational performance to support data-driven decision-making
Improve margins through productivity improvement, vendor optimization, and resource planning
People Leadership & Culture:
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing, multi-layered operations teams
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement
Develop succession plans and leadership pipelines within the operations function
Risk, Compliance & Governance:
Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, quality, and compliance standards
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation and contingency plans
Oversee audits, certifications, and operational governance frameworks
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, HR, IT, Product, and Customer-facing teams to ensure seamless execution
Act as a senior escalation point for operational issues impacting customers, service levels, or revenue
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Engineering / Operations / Management preferred)
15-25 years of progressive experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Operations
Proven experience scaling operations in complex, fast-growing, or multi-location environments
Strong exposure to supply chain management, process optimization, and performance management systems
Experience managing large, cross-functional teams

Data-driven decision-making and analytical mindset
Change management and transformation leadership
Strong financial acumen and business judgment
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
