Assistant Manager – Logistics

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for all inbound and outbound logistics.
2. Responsible for all inward materials unloading / accounting & Preparation of Goods inward note & allocate work to concerned operators and maintaining records for accounting and to ensure availability of materials at proper storage locations.
3. Planning and arranging for transportation of materials from / to sub-contract suppliers in consultation with Stores colleagues – responsible for sending materials.
4. To ensure & plan for proper vehicles & co-ordinate with transporters, based on receipt of Out bound dispatch documents in Consultation with Packing, Contract Management, Technical sales support & Finance for dispatch of Finished Goods.
5. Responsible for Preparation of Packing Slips & forwarding the same to packing section.
6. To ensure proper Documentation for post / pre dispatch activities (commercial & statuary) with respect to transportation of Goods & preparation of Forwarding notes and collect goods consignment Notes as per Out bound dispatch instructions on CUSTOMER specified commercial terms & conditions or requirements.
7. Responsible for ( second batch ) updating of Goods consignment note reference in SAP with reference to Sales invoice, after dispatch & forward the same to Finance department.
8. Check Freight bills, with respect to Contract purchase orders / agreement and certify as per freight payment terms for all inbound & out bound related freight bills.

Desired Candidate Profile

Any Graduate with 10 to 15 years of experience in Logistics, specifically in Engineering Industry.
